General and Technical are the forms with a site's data: name, customer and location, and capacity, dates and calculation values. When the site has a park configuration, the configurator opens on Park details instead.
Why it matters
Alpha calculates with what is here: the DC capacity for the specific yield, the start date for the periods and the reference PR for the loss. A wrong location or time zone shifts the sun and so the daily figures.

The site
What General and Technical do
Solar park with a park configuration
You go straight to the configurator, step Park details. There are no General and Technical tabs then
Battery from the configurator
You go to the battery configurator, on Overview
Site without a park configuration
The forms below, as the first two steps under Configure asset: General, Technical, Devices, Inverters
Site without a park configuration: at the top
Part
What it shows or does
Park configuration
Opens the site's configurator
Configuration
The bar with the site's name, capacity and location
Tabs
General, Technical, Devices, Inverters. A finished step gets a ✓ after its name
Step bar
The same four steps, as long as one is still open
Adjust with the agent
Only for an Admin or Operator: describe a change or add a datasheet, and the agent proposes a value per field
General
Part
What it shows or does
Identity and location
Asset name, Customer, EPC, Location name, Address, Postal code, City, Country, Time zone, Latitude, Longitude and External asset ID
Subtitle
"Asset name, customer and address details", with Confirmed or Needs review for the location
Save and continue
Saves and goes to Technical. Below it reads "Next step: Technical"
Cancel
Puts the fields back
Installation
Only when the site hangs on an installation in Operations: Installation number, Customer, Address, On-site contact, Documents, Open tasks and Latest notes, with Open in Operations
Asset photo
The photo of the Asset photo dashboard widget. Click to choose a photo or drag it there; Remove photo. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB
Archive asset
Only for an Admin. Archive takes the site off the asset list and stops monitoring. Once archived it reads This asset is archived with Restore
Delete asset
Only for an Admin. Asks you to type the name and then Delete permanently. When that is not possible it offers Archive instead
Technical
Part
What it shows or does
Technical details
DC capacity (MWp), AC capacity (MVA), Installation type (Ground-mounted, Rooftop or Floating), Monitoring start date, Contract start date, Annual degradation, Currency (EUR, USD or GBP) and Irradiation profile
Save and continue
Saves and goes to Devices. Below it reads "Next step: Devices"

Guarantees
Year, Guaranteed PR, Availability and Planned production in GWh. Read-only
Reference PR
PR, Source, Healthy days, Period and Updated. Source is Default (90,0 %) or Learnt
Grid connections
Name, EAN and Contracted export in kW. Empty: "No grid connections known."
Solar park with a park configuration: Park details
At the top the configurator has the steps Overview, Park details, Topology, Data connections, Validation, Capacity, Go-live and Versions, and the buttons Start over and Next: Topology. Park details holds the data another site keeps on General and Technical:
Block
What it holds
Park
Customer, Park name, Installer (EPC), Address, Country (ISO), Time zone, Coordinates and minimum temperature
Contract & yield
Among others Contract start, Monitoring start, Degradation per year (%), Guaranteed PR (%), Planned production (MWh/year), Currency, Irradiation profile and Reference PR
Planes
Tilt, azimuth and mounting per plane
Grid connections
Name, contracted export in kW and EAN
Groups
Per group its type, grid connection, irradiance source and number of inverters
Sensors
The irradiance sensors and for which group they are the source
Models in this park
The inverter and panel models, with the count and whether they are in the databank
Where the drawings disagree
Contradictions from the drawings that were read in

As on General
At the bottom: Reason for this change, Undo and Save as new version. A Missing label is required to go live; Recommended works without.
Who sees what
General and Technical are for Admin, Operator and Viewer. A customer does not see them.
An Admin or Operator can change them. A Viewer sees the fields without buttons, with "read-only for role …" after the subtitle.
Choose Configure asset. A site with a park configuration opens in the configurator; see Connecting a site.
A site without a park configuration opens on General. Fill in the fields and choose Save and continue.
On Technical, fill in the capacity, installation type, start dates, degradation, currency and irradiation profile. Choose Save and continue; you move on to Devices.
Rather use the agent? Choose Adjust with the agent, describe the change and choose Make proposal. Take proposals over with Apply. Nothing is saved until you save yourself.
A photo for the dashboard? Choose a file under Asset photo on General.
Must the site go out of use? As an Admin, choose Archive. Restore undoes it.
