What is on the Installation tab of an asset?
The Installation tab shows how the site is built, as it was published in the configurator: the grid connection, the groups, the inverters and the data connections. It is read-only, with each inverter's live status added.
Why it matters
You see which inverter sits under which group and which datalogger, and which one has a deviation. So you quickly see whether a fault belongs to one inverter, one group or one data connection.
What you see
The header with the name, Configure asset and the tabs is in What is on the Dashboard tab of an asset?.
The Installation card
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Structure, Communication, Table | Choose the view. The page opens with your default view, else Structure |
| Star: This is your default view | Filled: the view you see is your default |
| Star: Make default | Outlined: click to make this view your default. Only switching does not change your default |
| Show MPPTs | Only in Structure and with fewer than 15 inverters. Shows the MPPTs under each inverter |
| Edit in configurator | Only for Admin and Operator, and only when the site has a park configuration. Opens the configurator |
Structure
A diagram from left to right: the grid connection with its power, then the groups, then the inverters, with the meters, signals and sensors. Each inverter shows its name, the DC/AC ratio and the model (such as "DC/AC 1,17 · SMA STP 110-60"), its DC capacity in kWp and its status, such as "Actief · 1 alarm(s)". Use Zoom In, Zoom Out and Fit View to adjust the view.
From 15 inverters the diagram runs from top to bottom and a group's inverters stand in a grid. You then scroll through it.
Communication
A diagram from each data connection (datalogger, gateway, cloud or FTP) to the devices it reads. From 15 devices it becomes a list per connection:
| Part | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Search device | Searches on name, address and kind |
| Deviations, OK, No status | Filter on status, with the count after it |
| Heading per connection | Name, kind of connection, the number of devices, the test result (such as Not tested), Primary or Fallback, and the counts per status |
| Open … | Opens the datalogger's page |
| Tile per device | Name, address and kind (such as "unit 1 · Omvormer") and the status |
| No data source | Devices linked to no connection. They count as a fault |
Table
| Part | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Search inverter | Searches on name, model and capacity |
| Deviations, OK, No status | Filter on status, with the count after it |
| Inverter, Group, Model, Capacity, Status | One row per inverter. Click a row for the inverter |
When the search finds nothing, it reads No inverters found.
Empty states
| Text | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "This asset has no park configuration…" | The site has no park configuration: it was not set up in the configurator, or it is a battery without a park configuration |
| "This asset's park configuration has not been published yet…" | There is a configuration, but it was never published |
| "Version … has unpublished changes…" | A newer version was saved after the last publication. The diagram comes back after the next publication |
