What is on the Analytics tab of an asset?
The Analytics tab shows a site's figures over a period: the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. A solar park shows production, PR and availability; a battery shows energy charged and discharged, cycles and efficiency.
Why it matters
Here you see whether a site performs as expected over a week or a month, and how reliable those figures are. A low figure with the label Limited asks for better data first, not for a technician.
What you see
The header with the name, Configure asset and the tabs is in What is on the Dashboard tab of an asset?. The tab's own buttons are on the right of the header.
Solar park
| Part | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Period | Last 24 hours, Last 7 days (the default) or Last 30 days |
| Interval | 1 hour or 1 day. A new period sets it to 1 hour for 24 hours, and to 1 day for 7 or 30 days |
| Refresh | Reads the figures again |
| Production | The production over the period in MWh, with the labels Logger and the coverage, and Limited when it applies |
| PR | The performance ratio over the period, with the light source (Sensor, Satellite or No irradiance) and its coverage, and Limited when it applies. It can also read Invalid or Insufficient data |
| Availability | The availability over the period, with Logger and the coverage, and Limited when it applies |
| Data gap | Only when Alpha computes the data gap apart: the share of the daylight without data, weighted by kWp. It does not count in PR and availability |
| Data coverage | How many of the expected measurement intervals came in, with Persisted rollups below it. Labels: Delay and the time, No delivery, Sensor missing · … and Satellite instead of sensor |
| Plant production | A bar per interval. The highest bar is marked; an interval still running is grey. Below it the period, the interval and "source analytics rollups" |
| Per interval | A table with Period, Production, PR, Availability and Irradiance per interval. An interval still running has "(in progress)" after its time |
When the site has no datalogger, the figures are a dash and the tab shows No datalogger linked. When the site has a datalogger but no data in the period, it shows No measurement data in this period.
Battery
| Part | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Period and Refresh | As for a solar park. There is no choice of interval |
| Discharged | The energy discharged, with Charged below it |
| Cycles | Equivalent full cycles |
| Efficiency | Discharged divided by charged, on the AC side |
| Efficiency at grid connection | Discharged divided by charged, at the grid connection |
| Availability and Data gap | Of the PCS |
| Data coverage | With the average state of charge below it |
| Power and state of charge | A chart of power and state of charge over the period |
| Energy discharged per day | A bar per day, only for more than one day |
| Per day | Day, Metering point (PCS or Grid connection), Charged, Discharged, Cycles, Efficiency, Efficiency at grid connection, State of charge avg. (min–max) and Max. cell temperature |
| Per component | Per PCS, container and rack: Level, Container, Availability, Charged, Discharged, Round trip (DC), state of charge, cell temperature and Max. C-rate, with a CSV button |
| Monthly report | Choose a Month. Excel and Appendices save the report and the raw readings as a spreadsheet, PDF makes a PDF. Month in progress shows while the month is not over |
A battery without data shows No battery data in this period, with Not connected when there is no connection, else Connected.
On both
| Part | What it shows or does | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| EAN meter data | The meter company's days next to Alpha's, up to 92 days back: Quarters, Import EAN, Import Alpha, Import deviation, Export EAN, Export Alpha and Export deviation. Import loads a CSV file | Everyone when there are days; Import only an Admin |
| Day-ahead price | The bidding zone's day-ahead prices over Last 7 days or Last 30 days: average, minimum and maximum in €/MWh, the number of negative quarter-hours, a chart and every run of negative prices with the lowest price. Labels: the source and Internal only | Admin and Operator; a customer when Show value in € is on |
How to do it
- Open Assets, choose the site and choose the Analytics tab. Open in Alpha
- Choose the Period. For a solar park you can then choose the Interval.
- Look at the labels below the figures. If one says Limited, look at Data coverage first.
- Want to keep the table? Choose Export Per interval (solar park) or Export Per day (battery).
- For a battery: under Monthly report, choose the Month and choose Excel, Appendices or PDF.
- Want to compare the meter company's data (Admin)? At EAN meter data, choose Import and pick the CSV file.
