How do I connect a site?
You create the site under Assets and then go through the configurator: a solar park from Park details to Versions, a battery from Details to Versions. You publish on the Go-live or Live step; only an Admin may do that.
Why it matters
What you fill in decides which data comes in, which figures the platform calculates and which alarms apply. Only after publishing does Alpha really measure the site. For a battery, the warranty terms from Operation are the basis of the warranty check.
How to do it
Solar park
- Open Assets and choose New asset with agent, or Manual. Open in Alpha
- With the agent you first choose Solar park (PV) under "What kind of asset is it?".
- Under New park choose how to start: AI prefill (read and cross-check the drawings), Import (spreadsheet or SynaptiQ export) or By hand (empty park with inverters per model). Fill in Park name and Client and choose Create and open park.
- Park details: the park, its country and time zone, sensors and planes.
- Topology: one row per inverter, grouped, with an editor for the selected inverter.
- Data connections: the connections, their coverage and an editor per connection.
- Validation: every finding, with where you fix it. See Configurator messages.
- Capacity: DC and AC per inverter from its model, and the MPPTs that run into their current limit.
- Go-live: work through the checklist and choose Publish. See Going live.
- Versions: every publication is a new version.
Battery
- Open Assets and choose New battery. Open in Alpha
- Under How do you start? choose By hand, Import or With the agent (AI) and choose Create battery. The configurator opens.
- Details: the site, the grid connection, the meters per measurement boundary and the parties behind the battery.
- Build: the containers, with their racks and PCS. Add containers from a container model, a rack model or the cells.
- Operation: the usable energy from the SoC window, the market services, the availability and the warranty terms.
- Data connections: the data sources and which device at the source belongs to which container, PCS or rack. Test the connection.
- Signals: per key figure whether the sources deliver the signals it needs.
- Checks: every open finding, with where you fix it. See Configurator messages.
- Capacity: power, energy, duration and C-rate, and per PCS whether its racks fit its DC window.
- Live: resolve what still blocks and choose Publish. See Going live.
- Versions: every publication is a new version; the earlier ones are kept.
- Wait for the first data and run the SAT and the UAT on the battery page.
