What is on the Inspections tab?
The Inspections tab shows the site's published inspection reports; all reports together are in Reports on the Inspection reports tab. In Monitoring you only read them; you open a report as a PDF.
Why it matters
An inspection shows what is wrong on the site, and how serious it is. A critical finding nobody reads stays open and can cost yield or safety.
What you see
Admin, Operator and Viewer see the tab; a customer does not see it in Monitoring. A site's Inspections tab and the Inspection reports tab in Reports show the same; the first only for the installations of that site.
| Part | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Inspections are reviewed and published in Alpha Operations. | A line with the link Open in Alpha Operations. Only with a role in Operations |
| Preparing the PDF… | Shown while Alpha prepares the PDF of a chosen report; then an error message if it fails |
| No published inspections yet. | Shown instead of the table when there is no published report |
| Published inspections | The table with the reports, with the search field Search inspections and a download button at the top right for CSV or Excel (.xlsx) |
The Published inspections table, newest report at the top:
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Report | The title and the version, such as "· v2" |
| Installation | The installation the inspection belongs to |
| Inspection date | The day of the inspection |
| Checkpoints | The number of checkpoints |
| Findings | The number of findings per class, such as "1 critical · 2 serious · 4 minor" |
| Published | When the report was published |
Choose a row to open that report's PDF.
How to do it
- Open Assets, choose the site and choose the Inspections tab. Open in Alpha
- Or open Reports and choose the Inspection reports tab for the reports of every site. Open in Alpha
- Find a report with Search inspections.
- Choose a row. Alpha prepares the PDF and opens it in a new browser tab.
