Which battery data comes from WHES and Withthegrid Teleport?

Alpha fetches quarter-hour values from WHES every 15 minutes, and receives a message from Withthegrid Teleport about every 5 minutes. WHES gives more about the PCS and the DC side; Teleport gives auxiliary power, setpoint and room temperature.

Why it matters

The source decides which battery figures Alpha can make. When the source does not deliver a value, the chart and the figure that rest on it stay empty. So know which values your source delivers before you promise a report or a contract figure.

How to do it

WHES

  1. Open Settings and choose the API keys tab. Choose Add access and fill in the Access key and Access secret you get from WHES or your installer. Only an admin can do this. Open in Alpha
  2. Open Assets, choose the battery and choose Configure asset. Open in Alpha
  3. Go to the Data connections step. Choose Add connection with WHES OpenAPI, and choose the key and the project.
  4. Publish the configuration with Publish.

Withthegrid Teleport

  1. Open Assets, choose the battery and choose Configure asset. Open in Alpha
  2. Go to the Data connections step. Choose Add connection with Withthegrid Teleport (push).
  3. Choose Create token. Give the Webhook URL for Withthegrid and the token to Withthegrid. You see the token only once. Only an admin can create or replace a token.
  4. Publish the configuration with Publish.
