What is on the Inverters tab?

Inverters lists every inverter of a solar park in one table, with its group, model, serial number, DC capacity and whether it is linked. Choose an inverter for its own page with the tabs Dashboard and Inverter configuration.

Why it matters

An inverter with the wrong DC capacity or without a data logger gives wrong figures or no data. On the dashboard of one inverter you see whether it lags behind the others, and why an alarm went off.

What you see

The Inverters tab

A table titled Inverters, 8 per page.

Part What it shows or does
Search inverter Searches every column
Group: all Filters on a group from the configuration, such as Dak or Veld
Monitoring: all Filters on Actief or Niet gekoppeld
Export button CSV or Excel (.xlsx) of the rows the filter shows
Add inverter Only for a site without a park configuration, for an Admin or Operator
Inverter The name
Group The group, or "—"
Model, Serial number From the configuration
DC capacity The DC power in kWp, such as "128,40 kWp"
Monitoring Actief (active) when the inverter hangs on a data logger, otherwise Niet gekoppeld (not linked)
Previous, Next Page through; on the left it reads "1–8 of 55"

Click a row to open the inverter on Inverter configuration. When the table is empty it reads "Add an inverter to record the electrical configuration."

One inverter: Dashboard

At the top the button Inverter configuration, only when your role may open it.

Part What it shows
Power now The power in kW, with "of … kWp DC"
Yield today kWh today
Specific yield kWh per kWp today, with the Park median of the other inverters and how many percent this one is below or above it
Availability A percentage for today, or Available or Unavailable
State Such as Producing, with "Last data" and the time. Without data No data
Power next to the other inverters Chart with Today or 7 days, and Alarm day when you came through an alarm. Above it, for example, "Average 4.3% below median · 54 inverters"
Strings and MPPTs · last week The power per string or MPPT. Above it All 12 strings OK or Deviating: with the names
Alarms of this inverter With the number active and resolved. Columns Alarm, Status, Severity, First event, Last event. Empty: No alarms

Click an alarm in the table: the page focuses on that alarm. The card Opened from alarm then comes first, with Explanation, Possible causes and What you can do. That part can hold Create service request (only for an active alarm) and Compare configuration.

One inverter: Inverter configuration

At the top the button Device dashboard, which goes back to the dashboard.

Part What it shows or does
Fault pattern When in the day this inverter's faults ran, over 14 days or 30 days. Only when there were faults and you may see the alarms
Inverter configuration Name, Address, Serial number, Manufacturer, Model, Group, Datalogger, In service from and In service until
Save, Cancel changes Only when you may change it
Strings As Diagram (inverter, MPPTs and strings with modules, module type, tilt and azimuth) or as Table with MPPT, String, Modules, Module type, Tilt and Azimuth
Add string Only for a site without a park configuration, for an Admin or Operator
Serial numbers Which serial number was Installed and Replaced when, and Installed with RMA
RMAs This inverter's RMAs: Status, Manufacturer, Case number, Work order, Requested, Days open, Days in status. Empty: No RMAs

Who sees what

  • The Inverters tab and Inverter configuration are for Admin, Operator and Viewer.
  • An inverter's Dashboard is for every role, the customer too. A customer gets there through the Monitoring tab or an alarm.
  • Only an Admin or Operator can change things, and only for a site without a park configuration. Otherwise the subtitle ends in "read-only for role …".
  • Serial numbers and RMAs show with the right to work orders or to Monitoring RMAs.
  • A battery asset has no Inverters tab.
  • For a site from the configurator, Inverters sits among the other tabs. For a site without a park configuration it is the fourth step under Configure asset.

How to do it

  1. Open Assets and choose the site. Open in Alpha
  2. Choose the Inverters tab. Not there? Choose Configure asset and then Inverters.
  3. Search with Search inverter, or filter with Group: all or Monitoring: all.
  4. Click an inverter. It opens on Inverter configuration.
  5. Choose Device dashboard or the Dashboard tab to see how it runs.
  6. Pick Today or 7 days for the chart.
  7. Click an alarm in Alarms of this inverter for the explanation and the possible causes.
  8. May you change it? Edit the fields on Inverter configuration and choose Save. With Add string you fill in MPPT, String, Modules, tilt and azimuth; that panel is in Dutch.
  9. Does the site come from the configurator? Then change the inverter with Configure asset, in the configurator.
