What is on the Documents tab?
The Documents tab shows the manufacturer's documents for the models of the site's devices, such as datasheets, manuals and error codes. You can ask them a question, open a document and add a PDF.
Why it matters
You look up an error code or a limit here without the manufacturer's website. The customer sees this tab too, so you both read the same documents.
What you see
The tab is there for every site, for every role, the customer too. From top to bottom:

The Documents table:

Without documents it says No documents, or Looking for documents… while the library is searching. This table has no export button.
Open opens the document in a panel on the right, with its title at the top. At the bottom are the arrows for the previous and next page, "Page … of …", and At the manufacturer when the document has a source on the internet. When you came from an excerpt, the Cited lines are marked. When it cannot be opened, it says Document could not be opened.
How to do it
- Open Assets, choose the site and choose the Documents tab. Open in Alpha
- At the top are the site's models, each with its number of documents. Choose a model to open it in the device library.
- Looking for something? Type your question in Ask the documents and choose Search. Choose Open next to an excerpt.
- Want to read a whole document? Choose it in the Documents table. Search by title with Search documents, or filter on Kind or Source.
- Is a document missing? Choose Add document and choose a PDF.
