How do manufacturer alarms reach Alpha?
Alpha takes over the alarms that inverters and batteries raise themselves, with the manufacturer's code and name. The platform turns them into a severity and a priority, and for a battery a safety alarm always wins.
Why it matters
A manufacturer alarm often points straight at the cause, before a rule sees the consequence. The priority decides who gets notified and which SLA clock runs. An unknown battery code without a name is hard to handle.
How to do it
- Open Alarms, choose Faults and then the Current view. Manufacturer alarms are listed there with the other alarms. Open in Alpha
- Battery alarms are also on the battery page under Battery alarms (BMS/PCS). Choose the site first. Open in Alpha
- To name an unknown battery code: open Settings, tab Mappings. Under Unknown codes and fields choose Map on the code. Open in Alpha
- Fill in Name, Severity and if needed Canonical code, and choose Save. The mapping then shows under Own mappings.
