Which alarm rules apply to a PV site?

A PV site has rules for data and connection, for production and for performance. The tables below show the thresholds, delay and priority as they are set in this environment.

Why it matters

A rule that is too strict gives notifications without a fault. A rule that is too loose leaves production loss unnoticed. Knowing what a rule looks at helps you place an alarm quickly.

How to do it

  1. Open Alarms and choose the Alarm rules tab. Open in Alpha
  2. Choose Settings on a rule. You see per layer (Default, Tenant, Customer, Configuration, Asset, Object) which value applies.
  3. Change a value at the layer where it should apply, and choose Save.
  4. Want to see first what a change would have done? Choose Backtest.
  5. Does a rule keep opening and closing? Choose Propose hysteresis.
  6. To stop a rule judging a site for a while, add a window under Exceptions.
