What do I do in Alpha every day?
You go through the faults in Alarms from top to bottom and take them up with Acknowledge. Then you check that every data source still delivers.
Why it matters
A fault nobody takes up costs yield on every sunny day and keeps the SLA clock running. A silent data source hides faults: without data Alpha sees nothing.
How to do it
- Open Alarms. You land on the Faults tab with the active faults. Safety faults are at the top, then P1. Open in Alpha
- Open a fault. You see the Measurement, the Diagnosis, the Advice and the Meaning.
- Choose Acknowledge when you take up the fault.
- Does someone need to go to the site? Choose Create work order or Create service request. See Handling a fault.
- Check that the sites deliver data. Open Assets and pick a site. An exclamation mark next to the name means a data source errors or waits. Open in Alpha
- Are you staff? The site's Devices tab shows per data logger when it last delivered (Latest package).
