What does Alpha do and not do?
Alpha Monitoring collects the measurements of solar parks and batteries, computes figures and alarms from them, and helps you handle faults, reports and exports. Alpha does not control installations: it reads data and setpoints, but sends no commands or setpoints to inverters or batteries.
Why it matters
Knowing what Alpha does and does not do, you look in the right place. Restarting an inverter or setting a curtailment is done in the vendor's portal or on site, not in Alpha.
How to do it
- Start on the Monitoring map or in Portfolio to see how all sites run. Open in Alpha
- Open Assets and choose a site for that site's tabs. Open in Alpha
- Open Alarms to pick up faults. Open in Alpha
- Use Dashboards, Views and Reports for figures over time. Open in Alpha
