How do I make a view?

A view is one chart or table you put together yourself: under Views choose New view, then the type, the level, the objects and the series. You then place views on a dashboard.

Why it matters

A view records once how you look at a figure, and you reuse it on every dashboard. That lets you compare components side by side and spot sooner which rack or inverter is off.

How to do it

  1. Open Insight โ†’ Views and choose New view. Open in Alpha
  2. Fill in View name and choose the Type.
  3. Choose the Level: Portfolio, Asset or Device.
  4. Under Objects choose what the view shows: Dashboard, Fixed, Children or All. With Children and All you also choose the Object level.
  5. Under Series add indicators with + Add indicator.
  6. In Series configuration below the preview, set Custom label, Chart type, Stacking, Axis and Colour per series.
  7. Choose Save.

Want to change a view without touching the original? Choose Duplicate in the list.
