Where do I find the datasheet or manual of a device?

The Library holds the datasheets, manuals and other documents of each device model from the manufacturer, and the documents your own organisation added. You open a document in the viewer, or you ask the documents a question and get the passages with their page and lines.

Why it matters

Fixing a fault or checking a setting goes faster with the right limit or error code at hand. Every answer points to the page and the lines in the document, so you can check it yourself before you act on it.

How to do it

  1. Find Library with Search at the top of the sidebar, or with โŒ˜K / Ctrl K. Open in Alpha
  2. In Models, search by manufacturer or model and choose a row. The page of that model opens.
  3. Under Documents, choose Open. The document opens in a panel beside the page; turn pages with the arrows. At the manufacturer opens the document on the manufacturer's site.
  4. Do you have a question? Type it under Ask the documents and choose Search. Sources lists the passages; Open shows the page with the lines marked.
  5. Do you want to add a document of your own? Choose Add document and pick a PDF.
  6. From a site: open the asset's Documents tab. It lists the models of its devices; a model opens its page in the library. Open in Alpha and choose the site. More in Documents of an asset.
