What does this technical key mean?

A technical key is the internal name of a measured value or alarm metric, such as bess_cell_voltage_spread_mv or cell.spread_mid. You see them in the column Metric under Alarm rules and in the column indicator of a downloaded CSV; the tables below give the name of each key and what Alpha computes.

Why it matters

Two keys can look alike and still measure something else. The cell voltage spread on a dashboard, for example, is not the same number as the Celonbalans (cell imbalance) alarm. Knowing this, you compare the right number with the right threshold.

How to do it

  1. Open Alarms and choose the tab Alarm rules. The column Metric shows the key of each rule. Open in Alpha
  2. Open Views, choose a view and choose Download CSV. The column indicator holds the key of each series. Open in Alpha
  3. Look the key up in the tables below.

Charts, key figures and Laatste metingen (last measurements) show the name, not the key.
