What can the AI assistant do for me?

The AI assistant looks up your data with your rights, explains how Alpha works with sources from the help and the device documents, and proposes changes that you run yourself. It never carries out a change itself and never opens a page by itself.

Why it matters

You get an answer with your own data in it, without searching through pages yourself. Each fact comes with its source, so you can check a figure or limit before you act on it.

How to do it

  1. Choose AI chat at the bottom of the sidebar. The conversation opens on the page you are on; Open as the full AI chat opens the whole page. Open in Alpha
  2. Type your question, or in an empty conversation choose a suggestion such as What needs attention now?.
  3. Read the answer. A number such as [1] after a fact is its source. Under the answer, Found in lists the help articles it used.
  4. Is there an Open in Alpha button under the answer? Click it to go to that page.
  5. Is there a Proposal card? Read under Details what will change. Choose Run or Dismiss.
  6. Rate the answer with thumbs up (Good answer) or thumbs down (Not a good answer). Click again to take your thumb back.
